Pick your story, then decide how to tell it.

The beginning

When I was a small toddler I used to pull all the books of my childhood bookshelf and flip through the pages “reading” them. The older I got the faster I devoured books, to the point I had my own library card at age 10 because I kept maxing out my Mom’s. (There was a 25 book limit per checkout. I still think it’s inhumane.)

I loved movies and TV shows too. A particular favorite was anything Star Trek, and my Mom and I watched Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Bones together. It was through books, films, and TV that I not only fell in love with stories, but realized how vital they are to our understanding of our world and connections with each other. After all, when someone asks how our day went, don’t we tell them a story?

It wasn’t long before I’d come up with my own characters and worlds I wanted to explore and live in. And when I couldn’t find those characters in anyone else’s worlds or stories, I wrote them down myself.

The Present

Now I tell the stories about the amazing characters and places in my head because I think they are pretty epic, and I want to share them with you! I write some down and I act some out, because I believe good stories come in many forms, and you should pick your story then decide how to tell it.

When I’m not writing or acting, I enjoy reading (obviously), analyzing movies with my husband (he’s a physicist), and baking (sugar reduces stress, trust me I write fantasy). I’m a huge dog lover, and while I don’t have one all my own, I definitely “borrow” my parents’ puppy when I visit (she’s a Boston terrier).

And what does the future hold? I have lots of exciting plans so stick around to see what shenanigans I get up to next!
